This Privacy Notice describes how EconSwarm ("EconSwarm", "we", "us") collects and processes personal data when you use our website and forecasting workbench (the "Service"). EconSwarm acts as the data controller for personal data described here.
1. Personal data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, login credentials, authentication provider IDs.
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, tasks created, timestamps, referrer.
- Device / technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers.
- Support data: messages, attachments and metadata you send when contacting support.
- Content data: documents, prompts and configurations you upload to the workbench.
2. Purposes and legal bases
- Creating and managing your account — performance of contract.
- Providing the Service and its features — performance of contract.
- Security, fraud prevention and abuse detection — legitimate interests.
- Product improvement and analytics — legitimate interests.
- Customer support — performance of contract / legitimate interests.
- Marketing communications — consent (where required); you can opt out any time.
- Compliance with legal obligations — legal obligation.
3. How we share personal data
- Paddle.com Market Ltd. — Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payments, subscription management, invoicing, and tax compliance for our orders. See Paddle's Privacy Notice.
- Service providers / subprocessors: cloud hosting, database, analytics, email delivery and customer support tooling, acting under contract.
- Professional advisers: lawyers, accountants and auditors when necessary.
- Authorities: where required by law, court order or to protect our rights.
4. International data transfers
Personal data may be processed in countries outside your own, including outside the UK/EEA. Where applicable, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions as safeguards.
5. Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Account data is deleted or anonymised after your account is closed and any legally required retention period expires.
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. UK/EEA residents also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We respond to verified requests within one month.
7. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls and least-privilege principles — to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction.
8. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to run the Service (e.g. session authentication) and, where enabled, analytics cookies to understand product usage. You can manage cookie preferences via your browser settings.
